The Commodore 64 computer earned an entry in the Guinness Book of Records, becoming the best-selling computer of all time. Estimates show between 10 and 17 million copies sold. The computer found its way on the gaming market, and the reasons for its success were hardware sprites, a great-sounding SID sound chip and a large memory: 64 kB in the standard edition.
